Mr. A. R. Syed Arif started his career as the Managing Partner of Five Star Industries in January 1986, after the completion of his studies from National Institute of Technology, Trichy in May 1986.
Five Star Industries has received many awards for its exemplary performance and quality standards. It has been the recipient of the Best Business partner award for 4 years.
Mr. Syed Arif has served in key roles outside Five Star Industries as well, to extend his technical expertise in the development of the industry. He has served as:
1. Vice President of BHELSSIA, an association of industries doing work for BHEL
2. Purchase director of BIDASS, a co-operative society selling industrial goods to the member industries,
3. Admin Director of BRAMAS, a section 25 company selling raw materials to member units doing work for BHEL.
4. President of Rotary Club of Cauvery, and a Paul Harris Fellow PHF.
5. Chairman – CII, Trichy Zone, Tamil Nadu
Our Managing Partner, Mr. A.R. Syed Arif being facilitated for serving as the Chairman of CII – Trichy Zone, Tamil Nadu (2019-20). He also served as Vice Chairman of CII- Trichy Zone (2018-2019) 
Mr. A.R. Syed Arif with Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Union Minister of Defence (2017-19) and M. Ponnuswami – Chairman -CII Tamil Nadu State Council (2018-2019) Five Star Industries boasts of a skilled workforce with 25 years of experience in manufacturing jobs under various strict quality standards. All welders are qualified under IBR and ASME and have done high quality welding joints in SAW, SMAW and TIG process. From T91, P22 SS304H, Sa210Gr B and combination of materials, all joints have been done. The welders have welded huge girders upto 200 mm thick flange. They have welded Box Girders under strict German standards in the shortest period of time for Thyssenkrupp. Polar crane beams welded to a strict UT requirement were supplied to the Nuclear power station in Kudankulam. All complicated jobs are comfortably done by the skill of the workmen.
